Nominated

Posted by Top Dog on Saturday, March 17th, 2007 @ 11:38 pm in Personal - Philippines.

This blog has been (temporarily) nominated in the Personal Category of the Philippine Blog Awards.

Alright. I'll 'fess up. I nominated myself.

Why? Because I can.

No. Seriously, because I was a new blogger, a neophyte, when they started nominations. Since I was excited with blogging and all that shit, I submitted myself. I figured they would not accept entries with crappy content, no visitors, and with a PageRanking of 0. But they did.

And so I was nominated. I was listed at the website. And suddenly, I've got several blogs linking to my blog. It boosted my Technorati ranking, albeit in a not-so-right-way. But that still made me happy. Somewhat.

I am positive I will not win the award (but of course!). I do not have my own design and my posts look like worms to other bloggers' eagles.

Why am I writing all of this? Because some of you, yes the five of you who actually read this blog, might have sleepless nights thinking how the hell this blog has been nominated.

And so I am shamelessly telling you: I nominated myself. But you have probably figured that out beforehand.

To those rightfully nominated, I congratulate you, and goodluck.

Guy Guide: Watch of the moment

Posted by Pinoy Guy Guide on Saturday, March 17th, 2007 @ 10:04 pm in Lifestyle.

I went to Glorietta yesterday with my bunch of friends. We came to a watch store and found that gone are the days when guys wore watches like a typical young professional with rounded-shaped watches. The trend now is square-shaped watches as in this example. You see, if you're into the latest trends and style, you need to update and go with the flow. Watches these days especially for men tend

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin

Posted by msquareone.com on Saturday, March 17th, 2007 @ 6:19 pm in Personal - International.

Well, it's St. Patrick's Day and we're in Dublin.  There's only one thing to do: experience it like the Irish do!  Last night, our company had a Paddy's Day celebration at a bar in the city-centre.  There was an open bar, so you know it was fun...

Today, we took a train from Dun Laoghaire to Dublin city-centre with some friends to watch the parade.

For pictures of the parade itself, view this Flickr set.

Why I Left My Beloved Philippines

Posted by Cyber Pedestrian Observer Viewpoint on Saturday, March 17th, 2007 @ 11:54 am in Politics.

From Cyber Istambay comes this e-mail who loves his country too but left his country not because of his fears of seeing a boxing idol legislate laws or actors using the legislative podium like a silver screen blockbusted oooops blockbuster script in a tele-novela tear jerker but to escape poverty or be another statistic getting run over by maniacal drivers in Manila. Dear Fellow Filipino, Good day to all of you, who are fortunate enough to still afford reading this e-mail. I am one of the one (1) million Filipinos who just recently been added to the statistics of those who left the country. Bragged about as the crowning glory of a cheating errrr seating president as the leading exporter of “modern day slaves” ok, sorry I meant “heroes” among the bottom ranked nation of poor...

Artist of the Moment: Panic! @ the Disco

Posted by Pinoy Guy Guide on Saturday, March 17th, 2007 @ 12:16 am in Lifestyle.

Pinoy Guy Guide's Artist of the Moment is Panic! @ the Disco. Their type of song is somewhat pop-rock. I love their music! Their current hit single is Lying is the most fun a girl can do without taking her clothes off is now a success here in the Philippines. If you read the lyrics of this song it's mesmerizing. lol. Excerpt of the lyrics: "I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a
