AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OF PARTY-LIST REPRESENTATIVES THROUGH THE PARTY-LIST SYSTEM, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. Title. - This Act shall be known as the “Party-List System Act”.
Sec. 2. Declaration of Policy. - The State shall promote proportional representation in the election of representatives to the House of Representatives through a party-list system of registered national, regional and sectoral parties or organizations or coalitions thereof, which will enable Filipino citizens belonging to the marginalized and underrepresented sectors, organizations and parties, and who lack well-defined political constituencies but who could contribute to the formulation and enactment of appropriate legislation that will benefit the nation as a whole, to become members of...

They have become cynical and apathetic of our country, just wanting to live the life while letting corrupt officials amass millions to their pockets simply because they think nothing can be done to stop it.

I've been a fan of All-American Rejects. Their first single entitled "Dirty little secrets" (which was featured in movies like She's the man) topped the hit charts in the Philippines early 2006.
Now their next single from that album is once again performing well in the Philippines. "It ends tonight" is a good song for those who want to be left alone. lol. Read the lyrics - it's all about having serenity by oneself. It's such a nice song. (Click the play button above to listen). I am not surprised that this is again being overplayed by the metro's radio stations!

Hello, folks! I stumbled upon a video that claims to have recorded an Unidentified Flying Object taking off. Hmmm… interesting footage. You be the judge…
1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
3/4 cup (6 oz.) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
24 ladyfingers (two 3-oz. packages)
1/2 cup Kahlua (coffee-flavored liqueur)
1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
Combine the ricotta, cream cheese and sugar in a food processor; process until smooth. Split the ladyfingers in half lengthwise. Arrange 24 halves in a single layer in an 11″x7″ baking dish. Drizzle with half the Kahlua and let stand five minutes. Spread half of cheese mixture evenly over the ladyfingers. Repeat procedure with the remaining ladyfingers, Kahlua and cheese mixture. Sprinkle with cocoa.
Makes 10 servings. Nutritional values per serving: 216 calories, 6.9g fat, 6.8g protein, 27g carbohydrate, 0.2g fiber, 55mg cholesterol, 0.7mg iron, 244mg sodium and 10mg calcium.
