Return to Paraiso

Posted by Culture Shiok! Singapore OFW on Sunday, July 22nd, 2007 @ 8:36 pm in Personal - International.

"The lyrics speak of a dark and dreary environment where scavengers are free to make what they get from the garbage pile. But that does not make them any less free to imagine, any less free to hope, and any less free to dream. It is an inspirational song that I had dedicated not only to marginalized folks but especially to young people who have hopes and dreams of a better future." -Ryan Cayabyab

I'm back in Paradise (Paraiso). I took a bugdet airline and waited for hours at the Budget Terminal (thank goodness there's free internet), landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport around half-past 5 in the morning, took an airport taxi and was greeted by a huge billboard welcoming me to "Chikka Country" (sorry no pics), had Pan de Sal and Cheez Whiz for breakfast, went to ride a jeepney (P7 min. P6 senior/student), took a quick stroll at The Block and Trinoma (watched Transformers also) and now blogging at P15 per hour.

It's good to be back in the Philippines!

Posted by Pinoy Guy Guide on Sunday, July 22nd, 2007 @ 11:05 am in Lifestyle.

I like comments. I love them - they improve blogs, enrich the conversation and help PGG readers interact with one another. But since this blog is exposed to the rest of the world, not just the Philippines and is also searchable in Google, Yahoo, MSN and a few other search engines I need to communicate to readers where I stand when it comes to comments - be it a post comment, or a shout box

Upon going to the forums I receive strange errors (similar to the one below) even though I know for a fact that we didn't violate any terms of service. So what happened? Weekend Love

Posted by A Day In The Life... on Sunday, July 22nd, 2007 @ 4:08 am in Miscellaneous.

Nothing really much to post today… it’s been a grueling and tiresome week for me as some of my regular and very close bloggies have learned through my previous post.

I figured I needed to somehow get over the hump, so to speak… and since I really have nothing much to say, I thought I’d just post one of the songs by “Candles”, a band I used to co-manage.  The song is entitled, “Weekend Love”… a track that was recorded, mixed and mastered in my recording studio.  A light catchy tune… that’s easy on the ears.

Candles Inlay

So, without further ado… “Weekend Love”.  Enjoy!
