Im Back!

Posted by Kirbitz on Saturday, August 25th, 2007 @ 11:51 pm in Miscellaneous.

Have you ever experienced a week that seem to feel like its sucking the life out of you? Well, i just had mine. This week has been pretty hectic for me. Its hard when you want to maintain a blog in and deal with school at the same time, but its even harder when you want to get your blog in its superb shape and get a reputable grade at the same time.

Though my time for this blog on this week was pretty low, I did have an interested advertiser. Yes, you heard me right. . With the small traffic and close to negligible readers this blog generates yet, an advertiser is interested on placing ads on this blog. Well, I should say that blogging for money is not that hard afterall. ;)

Ive got a few sponsored posts from sponsoredreviews and blogsvertise this week and also, my Smorty is sending me money through paypal but i dont have an account yet. Im still trying to work things out with Lady and hopefully, things will work out well.

Im working on another pillar post so do wait for that one. Another thing! this mouse is bugging me! I dont know what happened but theres something in sensor-controlled mouse that's crappy, might as well buy another one but this time, the one with a mouse ball. . .

Happy 2 years!

Posted by A Matter of Perspective on Saturday, August 25th, 2007 @ 8:44 pm in Personal - International.

Lots of happy stuff for this month, eh? Well, exactly two years ago on this day, J and I said our I-do's in front of a judge at Parañaque City Hall. At that time, I remember we were still in the thick of things, preparing for our church wedding later that year.

Erin-less days

We decided just to stay home because Erin was feeling restless (she really must be teething now). J and I were supposed to go out for lunch and leave Erin with my sister-in-law. Instead, we're buying take-away food at one of our favorite restaurants and invited J's sister and her family over.

Not at all romantic I know. But I guess those dates may have to wait, at least until Erin's a bit bigger and easier to handle when left with others. Ah yes, such is life. :)

Boy Bastos Award?

Posted by Batang Yagit on Saturday, August 25th, 2007 @ 7:03 pm in Personal - Philippines.

I got nominated sa Pinoy Evil Blog Awards ni Kuya Paolo. Pag-gising ko this morning, nakita ko ang Batang Yagit sa Final List of Nominees for Pinoy Evil Blog Awards. Hahahaha..

Hahahaha.

Batang Yagit ranks 1 on class tardiness

Posted by Batang Yagit on Saturday, August 25th, 2007 @ 11:44 am in Personal - Philippines.

Yeah, maybe not totally but I still consider it.

I missed my 8 o'clock quiz, the only quiz we have in the mid terms. Yes, I did. It was so stupid for me to forget that our teacher scheduled a special class today. It was so stupid that I did not check my calendar. It was so stupid that I forgot to set the alarm last night. Oh well, I can't do anything about that. The consequence was laid upon me this morning.

If not for Chai, I would have slept longer. I read an SMS from Chai around 9.30 a.m. That's 1.5 hours after thae quiz started and 30 minutes before it would end. It was then panic hit me. I had to cram my morning activities so I could get to school before 10am. When I arrived, I decided to ask our teacher if I could enter his 10a.m. CoE (Computer Engineering) class. I pleaded before he allowed me.

There I was, sitting at the back-most part of the computer laboratory. I was so careless in answering the first part of the test. Since it was a 'no erasure' exam, I did not have the chance to change my wrong answers. The only nice thing which happened this morning was that I was able to finish the hands-on programming task for the PIC Microcontroller. I was able to load the program to my chip on time. Most of the CoE people where not able to cause our teacher switched off the main power. I think there were only two who got the hands-on right. I'm so glad I was one of the two. (No one from the 8am class got the problem right or if they did, they did not make it on time)

So that's what happened this morning and here I am blogging late at night. I have a Kalasag activity tomorrow at 8a.m. (again???). Wake me up if you get the chance. Hehehehe.

Nakanangbao.

Kung manalo man, tiba-tiba. Walang kahati.

Halatang pinag-isipan.

Hands down ako sa kanya. Naligaw ata.

Ayun. Nasa Quarterfinal 2 ako. Group of Death kuno ito. Lahat sila trio. So ayun, yung mga pipol naghihiyawan.

Unang dalawang tanong, dinugo ako. Wala pa naman akong kasama. Kausap ko, sarili ko.Tapos, yung third question, nasagutan ko. Palakpakan ang tao. Kasi, nasagutan ko agad.

4 points yun. Leading ang group 1 by far away 18 points. Tapos, the other groups were scoreless. So ibig sabihin second ako at pasok sa semis. Until…. (The question is worth ten points)

“What is the 10th digit of the product of 13452094452423 and 125?”

So, ako todo-solve. Yung isang grupo na scoreless pa,

Ui, hulaan na lang natin. Kahit anong number from 0 to 9. Baka tumama.

“8″

Sabi nung host,

” Your answer is correct”

Hiyawan sila.

Pagkatapos nun may 2 questions pa.

Natawa pa nga ako after all.

May premyo naman ako: gift certificate sa TGI Fridays. PhP 500 off for PhP1000 worth of food purchase. Pampalubag loob.

exercise is utmost important to maintain one’s health. ironically, we always have excuses of not exercising regularly and among the many excuses include being "too busy" at work (well, at least not for me). however, after reading this post, you won't have any more excuses, will exercise regularly and will do this in your office: 1st: warming up 2nd: stretching 3rd: the upper body

A Case of the Pot Calling The Kettle Black

Let me just remind the commenters in my blog post about Malu Fernandez:

If you cannot make the appropriate intelligent counter-argument to Malu Fernandez’s assertions, then DON’T RESORT TO NAME-CALLING. It just goes to show that maybe Malu Fernandez may be right with some people in the middle class not being educated enough. Show that you have the kind of wit that is intelligent and not like the “acerbic wit” she pertains to. And you don’t do that by using uncouth words one might only hear from children fighting in the playground.

I do believe that we have a Malu Fernandez in each one of us, in one form or another. Well, hypocrites may disagree. But come on, be true to yourself. Can anyone really claim that he doesn’t have any prejudices? That’s preposterous. To think that a certain U.S. school isn’t popular enough to flaunt and that to be a fashionista one must be slim are already forms of prejudice.

Go examine yourselves. You can cast the first stone but remember why you’re throwing it in the first place.

* * * * *

Here are some blogs about the Malu Fernandez issue that I like. I think it would be better if most bloggers would emulate the way they posted about the issue. These posts aren’t highfalutin nor pretentious. They speak their mind and poke fun at the issue but still, with utmost civility.

Taste Asia II: I was there again!

Posted by alohapenny on Saturday, August 25th, 2007 @ 2:33 am in Personal - International.

Ok i make this entry quick so i can sleep because im sick again and damn allergies! My nose hurts! Well, I went to yet another blogger parteh and as i was saying, I knew the second Taste Asia event would rock! And i think its better than the first because : one, I knew more bloggers this time around; two, TMB was there; and three, FREE BEER and food as always! I wasn't sure I was going at first because when I heard about the EB, everyone I knew wasnt registered yet and i was afraid i might go alone. So I left for my vacation and when I got back everybody seemed to be going (read: including TMB folks) and I have not registered! I quickly asked Sexymom if it was too late and she was nice enough to sign me up and even asked me to bring a guest. Marlon was not around for this, im sure he would have enjoyed it (Mikey was looking for you, ahaha) And I was late again, as always. Although this time, I did not have a hard time looking for my name since I am registered!! Actually, i was there on time but i went to the movies, after watching i went to Taste Asia and there were a lot of people already!
