I was on my way to work earlier today and I took a jeepney. I hate taking jeepney rides because its hot outside but I have no choice. Another reason is, the music being played. I have no idea why but the jeepney drivers seem to have a knack for mixed tapes, medleys and upbeat remixes of love songs. (I dunno what its called) I cant stand it, and if you think these drivers cant keep up with technology, you are wrong. Gone are those car stereos that play cassette tapes and have dials, they now have cd players that can read MP3s, MP4s, WMAs and others. (note: 100++songs) If they're not using the cd player, they turn the radio on, which is equally annoying. The station that they're listening to plays old songs, OPM songs, novelty songs, (read: jologs) Though I admit, sometimes it makes me laugh (the "kelangan pa bang immemorize yan?" station) but still. Anyhoo, while sitting inside the jeep, i was forced to listen to the radio (how can you not with the 5piece set including 2 sub woofers), GREAT. However, the commercials were on so I thought YEY! With the ride being quick I may get to work while the commercials are still on. But NO, the DJ went on air and said his usual greeting (annoying) and played the next song. I was not irritated that much this time, because he played a christmas song. Silver Bells. I realized, it is September already , we only have 109 days til Christmas! YAY! And I haven't gotten anything for anyone yet. I'm still making a list, but I found it hard. So I ended up doing MY wish list instead. :) In no particular order, I would want to have:

The second chapter in the Malu Fernandez controversy continues to ensue as Malu Fernandez resumes her post as a columnist on Manila Standard Today last September 3 of this year.
As expected, the people who were angered by her comments about OFWs and who called for her resignation were alarmed of Manila Standard’s decision of keeping Fernandez as a sign of following their protocols. One of those who were agitated was Nick of Tingog.com.
Last September 4, Nick has announced a renewed call to boycott Manila Standard as a sign of saying that Filipinos will fight for the image of the OFWs and they would not accept bigotry and discrimination not only in this country but also in all parts of the world.
“Do not go to their website, do not buy their paper, and anything that they write. Unless it is a declaration of firing Malu Fernandez, it will fall on deaf ears.” -Nick of Tingog.com
If we could recall, Nick was one of the few who were very vocal in expressing his opinions on the issue when the issue first came out.
To those who want to join their cause, go and visit this page, leave a comment, and place the pre-made badge on your blog/site to show your stand against Manila Standard Today and Malu Fernandez.
(Badge created by Karlo.PinoyBlogero for Tingog.com)
Note: I would like to make it clear that I have a different stand on this issue. I really don’t support the call for boycott, nor am I against it. ^_^

After nga ng pag-alis ni Rico Blanco sa Rivermaya, nagkaroon ng audition para sa bagong meber na ginanap sa UP Film Institute last August 24 and 25. Ayon sa mga haka-haka, gagawin itong reality show.
Last August 18 nga, nag-launch sila ng 5-song EP entitled Bagong Liwanag. At ang first single nito ay “Sayang” na sinulat at inawit ni Japs Sergio. Medyo nahihiwagaan ako sa kanta. Masyado siyang madrama.

Sayang
-Rivermaya-
INTRO: E-F#m-A-E
VERSE: E-F#m-G-A
I.
ang dami kong nadidinig na katanungan
bakit daw? anong nangyari?
CHORUS: E-A-D-A / E-A-G-A
ito ba ay paalam na? (4x)
II.
(E-A-G-A)
huwag ka ng umiyak
sayang ang luha

I was just doing my daily reads in my Google Reader, and I saw this post about a test for pro-blogger-ship. Well, I don’t consider myself as one but it was worth a try.
The test is composed of twenty (20) multiple choice questions with four choices each. The questions are on different topics but are still related to blogging, search engines, robots files, current events in blogging, wordpress and social bookmarking sites. I took the test myself and scored a failing 65%.

Try it out just for fun. ^_^
Take the test from here, Pro Blogger Test.
