I recently received this offer from www.blogskinny.com about their newest Weather Badge that can be placed as a widget in your blog. I find this very interesting so I tried. You just have to input an American State's postal code and the state's city, locality or country and state name will appear on the widget. There is an icon which shows you the present weather in that state. Whether sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy or snowy can be easily identified with its image presented on the widget. More importantly, the widget shows you the wind speed and direction defined in miles per hour calibration. The state's present atmospheric temperature is also shown in degrees Fahrenheit. Also the inches of rain within the vicinity is also shown. Cool isn't? On top of that, weather date and timestamps are also indicated to show how reliable and updated the weather update is. So hurry, if you have a blog, get this widget for free and it will make your blog more useful especially when you use this weather widget courtesy of BlogSkinny.com.

i thought that.... maybe we lost it maybe it's over and done maybe there's something amiss with the way our hearts swear it's difficult, there's so much thoughts undone now we stand on the edge of a broken line this could ruin us, in everytime we lie we die it's the prison we make, it's the things that we hate we've created all those fears and nightmares but it's not too late this could still be saved the sun will rise up on the eve of our fall bury all of those shadows that haunt us drown them and leave it all behind open the backdoor let it pass and just carry on maybe this is a test to reveal our true sides i can't believe that we're feeling this i can't believe that we've gone so far suffer the consequences forget the unexpected
we had a vision that a day would come when we will all embrace the goodness of our fate but we have to suffer, we have to sacrifice it all for miracles only happen in our dreams do you hear me??..i'm just saying that it's for our sake but it's falling away falling away from ourselves time to take the best path it makes the best of what we could offer this is a game, a game of love and hate what we need is just a little bit of respect we could go under but we could go on sometimes our lives depends on the future that we hold do you hear me?..it is what i'm saying there's no time to waste step outside your door for we may pass the chance to make a better day for us to take the reasons that we should have made renew our voices defy rejections make our own motivations
can't you see it's killing me this pain inside is hurting me i'm now all blank and faded this prison of thoughts won't set you free this feelings of love, i'm so abused so tell me now if it's true don't waste my time i'm out of line you told me it's over but i can't begin and i can't pretend this ain't the end no it's not.... why would you feel so insecure? are you certain that i'm a nobody? i'm half the man you know this visions sinking in me and i'm out of words to say i can't take it anymore
you’re an inspiration you always make me see things so clearly you build me up and made me realize that life is perfect with you it’s endless i thought i’ll never have this pure love and affection so i sing this line, this little rhythm of time just to make you feel how i treasure you you’re the light in my dreams of sea and sky i’m falling deeper in your heart i’ll hold this moments of you and me fill it with memories oh how great would that be you’re close to me and you’re never far my heart is in heaven when all i see is you i know you know what it feels like i know you know how it feels i’m so desperate so please stay just look into my eyes and you wiil find that everything is fine i just can’t define what i have for you is a natural sign you’re the song that fires that made me inspired i thank you for all you are….. you’re an inspiration
i tried to walk alone in the midst of nothingness but i've found myself longing for something else i'm lost and confused, what is there to lose is this the answer?? i thought it is but i do resist if i could hold on to everything just to feel you breathing however far you'll stay alone in me, a whole of you in me i lie awake while dreaming of our perfect day images of fate flashing on top of my head your eyes, they shine, they made me draw the line i've found the answer well i hope i did, yes i hope we did... now i pray for light just to guide us through it'll save us from drowning it'll save us from keeping what we had before when it's over it'll be the same no more empty words to fill the space and i promise we will see the future within till the pictures fade you and i will say... that we're both for one, yes we're both for one
Can’t begin to write this entry. Effects of Alcohol still lingers in me. I have been drinking 3 hours prior to this entry. I dont really know how to start this… All I know is I opted to drink to at least forget for a while all the frustration I have inside. Last week, I tragic event happened.
One of my closest cousins had a Nervous Breakdown. I know what he’s been into lately. I know for a fact that problems that are kept inside for so long would really get into out judgement. I dont know if ill be on the same fate if I continue on holding on to my hatred. I know for a fact that it has been a couple of weeks that I cant get over to the things that me despise people.
I know that it is bad but I could not help it. I have a lot of frustrations lately both from work and personal. I cant even think where the boundary is. Dont get me wrong… I love talking…. It’s my Nature that is why I chose this Job more than a year ago. But the fact that I am seeing myself on an unhealthy environment is really frustrating. There are really people who gets into your nerves no matter how you try to accept them on what they really are. I know it will take a long time to really get used to… I am not in a hurry.
On an entirely different matter, I have fully weigh things up though alcohol was not much of help…. I will still be pushing with my countdown…. at least I am clear with that. I dont know how to say this…. i mean write this… but I have made up my mind to get over about something that happened 2 weeks ago at work… I wont get over it… I might forget how embarassing it was but I wont get over it…. t’was so unfair…. I know I have flaws and we all know that these are the one of the natures of being a human being.
I know I still care but I am beginning to see a whole new perspective in everything he does. I have promised myself not to have a truce - not anytime soon. I better end this now…. I know I am not making sense, forgive me… I am drunk. -end-
To some of you, this might seem odd, lame even to a few. But hey, I finally switched to adsense!
I previously wrote about why I prefer bidvertiser than adsense. And boy, did i ever regret doing so. Dont get your conclusions clear yet, i have a few reasons (theyre good ones too!) why i finally changed to adsense.
Layout compatibility is bad - This is one of the first things that i noticed while using bidvertiser. The Ads doesnt integrate with my layout. Or another for that matter. You know, the best way to earn more with pay-per-click ads is to not make them look like ads at all. This is pretty difficult thing to consider when using bidvertiser.
Site navigation is below average - One needs to spend too much precious time spent on their site to configure ad settings. Once you want to re-do your ad configs, you have to go back to the main window and open 3-4 more windows to get the effect that you really want. Well, let me say it bluntly. . . Its not user-friendly!
Earnings? Forget it. - Personally, i attributed this to the difficulty in adding configured ads. They literally stand in your sidebar with a signboard hanged on their neck of font size 360 saying "Hey! Im ad Advertisement! Click me!". Way to go bidvertiser!
Clicks dont count - Now i strategically enumerated this last since this is not a very good example to all of you. (haha!) I asked my friend to click on the ads just once. And after the day, when I checked on my account, it wasnt registered. Yes, I dont know how many stolen clicks they got from me. But this stands as my biggest reason why i bid farewell to Bidver.
Now to all of you wondering how much i earned on bidvertiser on the whole 2 months of using them, well, to keep it a little mystery, lets just say its not enough to buy me a lousy brief!

Aha! Another tag game! This time it’s Jim’s turn to tag me… (Jim, nakabawi ka na ha!)… hahaha! The topic of this new meme: “10 Things I Hate” aka “My Hate List”. As I start to scour through my least desired things in life, I shall begin… (ahem)!
FOOD: Kimchi! (I couldn’t stand the odor!)
FRUITS: Durian (Though I haven’t really tried tasting it yet… Duh! Go figure!)
VEGGIES: Ampalaya! Onions! Raw Garlic! (Blech!)
PEOPLE:
Posers! Name-droppers! Pessimists!
EVENT/SITUATION/INCIDENT: A situation when I am talking to a person who doesn’t practice what they preach.
TV SHOWS/MOVIES: Ummm… I can’t! I really can’t say it… considering how many people (and friends) read my blog, I just can’t. So as not to offend anyone. Let’s just put it at that. Hehehe…!
MUSIC:
Very tricky… there are lots! Hmmm… but APRIL BOY would definitely be up there.
HOUSEHOLD CHORES:
Fixing bathroom pipes… I think. (I can imagine my wife laughing as she’s reading this… hahaha! I can imagine her saying, “Anong pipes?! Eh bihira ka mag-household chores, ano!” Haha!)
THINGS AROUND THE WORLD:
Violence. Discrimination. Corruption (especially in the Philippines). Pollution. Racism. I could go on and on and on…
THINGS ABOUT MYSELF: Bad Temper. Worrier (sometimes). Procrastinate (admittedly… at times)! Lord, help me change…
The best part of every tag game is the actual “tagging”… And since I have already completed answering the 10 things I hate, I shall now tag 10 people to do the same…
Are Nursing Shortages Causing Deaths?
A nonprofit group's report says more immigrant nurses and training programs are needed to ease patient suffering

The U.S. is facing a severe nursing shortage, and it's causing increased death and illness for American patients, says a report released on Sept. 5 by the National Foundation for American Policy (NFAP), a free market-oriented

[Edited the title. Google might think that I am the one who is asking for clicks. Thanks to Benj for pointing it out]
“Bilang handog pasasalamat sa paglink sainyong blog, manyari lamang na pakiclick ng patalastas (ads) sa itaas. Walang mawawala sainyo. God Bless you.”
Ops, wait lang, I’m not telling you to click on MY ads. The message above was from a post on a seemingly new blog called PinoyRecords. What the blogger did was he linked up to over 500 blogs and asked them to click on his Adsense advertisement in return for the free link. Talk about being desperate. [Check the post here]
I give free links almost everyday here in PinoyBlogero to blogs that I think are worth linking to. I sometimes put links within posts that are related to the topic that I am talking about and I also do a weekly recap of the blogosphere every week that are full of links to other blogs and blog posts.
When I link to other blogs, I don’t ask anything in return. I don’t ask them to link back nor do I ask them to click my ads as a sign of thanks.
The case with PinoyRecords is obviously another way of fooling people so that one could earn easy money out of Adsense. Such an act falls under the activity of click fraud which is defined as:
“…a type of internet crime that occurs in pay per click online advertising when a person, automated script, or computer program imitates a legitimate user of a web browser clicking on an ad, for the purpose of generating a charge per click without having actual interest in the target of the ad’s link.” [source: Wikipedia]
Upon careful research on the Google Adsense Program Policy, we would find out that encouraging clicks on Adsense Ads is not allowed and would lead to being banned from the service.
Publishers participating in the AdSense program… may not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as “click the ads,” “support us,” “visit these links,” or other similar language.
As you can see, the blogger behind the blog has clearly violated the terms of agreement by resorting to getting easy money through Adsense. I bet the blog had already fooled a number of bloggers into clicking it especially from those newbie bloggers who are not aware that such an activity is not allowed.
This is a call to all bloggers out there that click frauds are unfair and must not be used to earn money the quick and easy way. It is unfair on the part of other bloggers who are trying to earn money legally through Adsense, especially on the part of the advertisers who are spending a lot of money just to promote their products.
Be vigilant and help stop click fraud! Happy blogging!
Laptop gets fixed and the importance of making back ups
Earlier today I went to the Acer Service Center to have my dead laptop repaired. After waiting and sweating for a while, my turn finally came and I watched as the Acer dude checked my laptop.
The solution to the problem was the memory. He just switched it from one slot to another slot and it’s working again. I was surprised the solution was that easy! I already tried to dissect my laptop yesterday but I did not do anything because I fear I might do further damage. I thanked him and went on my way (he did not charge anything, lucky me). I am very thankful that the laptop got fixed but I would like to share with you something I’ve learned in this experience.
Always make a back up of your files and keep your things secure all the time.
I have been talking about back up your blog last month but I have not personally applied it myself. I forgot to practice what I preached and I almost suffered the consequences of it. So now, I’m telling all of you to start making back ups of your files in case something bad happens.
Not all people realize how lonely it can get for us Filipinos living abroad. Yes, life is good here in the land down under but it would be even better if we can constantly keep in touch with family and friends back home.
J and I are always "hungry" for the latest news back in the Philippines so we make it a point to call our loved ones regularly through chat or with the use of a long distance card. Prepaid calling cards are a good way to save on your phone bills because it allows you to set a specific budget for overseas calls, which we all know can turn out to be very expensive. These are global phone cards which allow you to contact any of your loved ones whether via domestic or international calls. Discount long distance cards are truly a godsend as you get more value for your money.
If plane tickets were inexpensive, we'd probably be seeing ourselves jumping on the next flight every chance that we get. But that is nowhere near the truth. For now, we'll just have to settle with phone calls and video chats until we are able to save enough to fly back home for a much needed holiday.
