I just love how some mood lighting can affect the look of a certain room. It creates such a dramatic change in the room's aura so I really think it is something worth investing in. Chandeliers, lamps and other types of quoizel lighting not only enhance the look of a room physically. But they can also affect the tone and mood at just the switch of a button. I would definitely consider them when it's time for us to decorate our own home. For now, we would just have to settle with what came with the house we're leasing.

Just when I thought everything was running smoothly with
our other site, MC decided to strike back once again. MC or Mister Copycat as I "fondly" call him decided to go back to his old ways again and he's done it 3 times already this week.
It's appalling how desperate he still is at posting all those copied articles from our site. He did not even give credit to our site, when he copied paragraphs I've written myself. Instead he placed the links of my sources. Geez! I do not know how his twisted mind works and why he does this. Is it just for the simple reason of irritating us or does he want all the recognition to himself? That guy's really wacko alright! I just pity him. :(

Are you a sweet tooth like me? I am particularly fond of chocolate and I always make it a point to eat some after meals, even if it is just only a little piece. That's why we always make it a point to have a bar of it in our fridge.
If you have the same cravings as me, then going to a bulk candy store would be a sweeth tooth's dream come true. You can buy all your favorite candies in huge quantities and get a discount for your purchases. I reckon I will go bonkers on what items to get because of the large variety of sweets that they offer. And it is not just your ordinary store, mind you. It's an online shop so you can buy all the lollies that you want in the comforts of your own home. What more can you ask for when you're raring to satisfy that old sweet tooth of yours?

Belated Happy Halloween everyone! :)
I would have thought the kids in our area would go around the neighborhood treat or tricking. But, last night was uneventful, just as every night was in our part of town. I had prepared some lollies though, just in case some kid came knocking on our door.
I think the only thing that was spooky was J claiming that I had gone into the guest room to get some clothes for Erin. I said I did not go into that room because I only went to the toilet to pee. Maybe he was just dreaming or something. One thing I could confirm though is that it was definitely not me who went into that room. Creepy!

I've been planning to go back to baking once again. The last time I put something in our oven was around a month ago. Too long ago, I tell you!
I guess the last straw for me was seeing a fellow blogger post about baking cream puffs like it was the easiest thing to do. I'm not just ready yet to delve my amateur hands into fine pastries. What I will do though is bake a simple bread pudding, which was also featured by the same blogger on her site. And while we're still on the subject of baking I just might whip up a little baked spaghetti tonight for dinner. Yum! :9

For all concerned UK-based occupational therapists, be informed that due to an unfortunate postal disruption, the Health Professions Council has allowed an additional ‘grace period’ for the submission of renewal applications. Quoted below is the original announcement from the HPC.

Due to postal disruption, additional ‘grace period’ for renewal applications
Due to the exceptional circumstances the postal disruption may cause to those renewing their registration, the Health Professions Council is allowing an additional ‘grace period’ for renewal applications to be received from occupational therapists and biomedical scientists.
Registrants are now being given until the dates listed below to renew their registration for the 2007/9 registration cycle:
Occupational therapists (OT) - 30 November 2007
Biomedical scientists (BS) - 17 December 2007
Registrants are ‘lapsed’ if we do not receive their completed renewal form and payment by the relevant cut-off (lapsing) date. This means that their name will no longer appear on the HPC Register and they will need to complete a readmission form to come back onto it. Registrants who submit their forms within one month of being lapsed will not have to incur a re-admission fee and will only have to pay their renewal fee (covering their two-year cycle). Registrants who submit their forms after one month will be required to pay the re-admission fee of £110 in addition to their standard renewal fee.
For more information about renewals please visit http://www.hpc-uk.org/registrants/renew/. You can email the UK registration department on registration@hpc-uk.org. Alternatively you can phone 0845 300 4472, or if calling from outside the UK +44 207 840 9802

Gosh, October seemed to pass by in a breeze! It's November already and before you know it, it's December next. Where does the time go? All that opportunity grabbing sure did keep me very busy I hardly noticed how fast the days went.
Anyway, since the Christmas season is fast approaching, J and I decided to buy our first ever Christmas tree at Big W last weekend. It's a six-foot synthetic pine tree and I am so excited to decorate it in the coming weeks. We're still undecided though as to what color scheme we'll follow. J wants it two-tone, while I'm more inclined to go with a monochromatic one. Any suggestions?

Every business owner knows how important it is to socialize and network to increase his chances of making his business known in the world. Apart from a wonderful and pleasing personality, he can also try handing out a few Business cards here and there in social functions. That will surely make potential customers remember him more easily because those cards are physical reminders of their meeting. And what better way than to have them printed at vistaprint, where quality is at its best so you are sure that you'll be noticed. I used to print my own business cards at home but nothing beats having them done professionally.

Miagao Church
I'm off to Iloilo tomorrow noon for the long Halloween weekend. For my non-Fiipino readers, Iloilo province is located in the center of the Philippine archipelago, more specifically in the Visayas region. I can't remember how many times I've been to Iloilo but I guess around 30x because it's the province of my dad. There's no year I can think of when I haven't had the chance to visit Iloilo.
For my long weekend trip I'll be going around Western Visayas, hoping to cover Roxas, Capiz for a seafood foodtrip and then to Guimaras for some photo opportunities of its white sand beaches. To go to Bacolod, Negros Occidental would be a bonus if time permits.
Happy Halloween to all!!!

I've been away from home for a couple of days now. A day after the summit, I left home. Huhuhuhu... now I'm a lonely vagabond. Toink!
It's my second time to leave the country. Exciting! Hahahha. When I arrive in Manila, I had to wait for Jehzeel kasi nasa kanya ang ticket ko for Clark. After waiting for Jehz, we both went to Mall of Asia to have our breakfast. An hour of eating and chit-chats. Pinapa-inggit ko siya of stories from the previous day's event,
MBS1. He also gave me half the sheet of Google stickers
Ate Aileen gave him.
After we had our breakfast, he accompanied me to the terminal for the bus that would bring me to Clark. It's my first time to travel in Luzon using public transport. I've been to places outside Manila but this time, it is completely different. I am very grateful to the two ladies I met in the bus. They were so nice to accompany me on our way to Clark. They're bound for Singapore kaya I felt a little confident since we're headed for the same airport.
The AirportI had to wait for few more hours because the plane that would bring me to my destination arrived late.
I arrived 9 in the evening in my destination. Everything here is great.
That's all for now. I'll update you with my trip soon.

- Before embarking on a once in a lifetime adventure in a place or country that you don't know where to find in a globe, always try to research and take time to know the local culture by blending in with the locals. It pays most of the time to be observant with your new and unusual surroundings and take a cue from that on what to do next. You have to experience how locals live, what they eat and what are their interests.
- When you think your research didn't made fruitful answers it is always fine to talk to local residents as they obviously know their own culture and city. A guidebook might tell you that the shop around the corner is the best place where to dine or shop but many locals have different opinions so take consideration their inputs.
- Many of us are guilty of this... as much as possible avoid rushing from one tourist attraction to another in an Amazing Race attempt to see it all. In the first place it is uneconomical so in my opinion it is better to savor and enjoy to the fullest just one or a few sites that to visit all what the guidebook says just to cross them in your "To Visit" list.
- Always be unconventional by trying new things. One way to do that is to eat bizarre foods and trying local wine or drinks. When choosing where to stay avoid those international brand chains, better yet try in the local hotels, hostels or bed-and-breakfast.
- Undoubtedly, it is fun (but not always recommended) to make a fool of yourself while enjoying your brief stay in a place or a country. Anyways, those people who are witness to your "acts" will not likely be there when you got home.
There you go... hope these tips made sense :)

Did you know that online business are losing clinets and a lot of money because there was no one there to answer a simple question to your visitor in real-time? There are different strategies to find the right formula for attracting and retaining customers and continue to be a cut above the competition.
In addition, online companies should focus on improving the customer assistance delivering a streaming experience and recognizing that they need to align content with end users, and that they need solutions that help them provide the best content. Providing a live support to your online business will enable you to interact with customers, delivering full support, thus increasing their satisfaction and loyalty.
Here are three major benefits of using live support software on your website:
- Increase online sales
- Provide customer support and technical answers
- Reduce operating costs
LiveHuman is a host based and full featured chatting service. Adding a
support chat functionality to a web site is an extremely simple task – you need to add a single HTML line to your site. Automatically, a picture will appear. That picture will change when you are online of offline, and customers clicking on that picture will be able to chat with the website owner.
The pricing is very low ($13/month per operator for the yearly contract). In most cases, it would only take
one additional sale, sign-up, or customer per month for LiveHuman's live support software to
pay for itself.

Ever since my pagerank went up, the opportunities just came flooding in! I am beyond myself because I don't know which ones to take or write about. Not to mention that I also have to tend to Erin in between posts.
Did you notice? I think a couple of days ago I was just pointing out that I'd already written 70 articles on this blog. Well, lo and behold, it's now up to 85 or so for just this month alone. It's that frantic and insane, but I'm loving all of it! :)

For once, I am featured as one of PPP's top daily earner! I know this is only temporary because as soon as the big posties start coming in, I can instantly say goodbye to that spot.

I managed to save a screenshot of it for posterity. It may be a once-in-a-lifetime thing so might as well take a photo of it for evidence. Little joys! Haha! :)

As the song goes, "it's that most wonderful time of the year." Yes, before we know it, Christmas will soon be here. So, we better get a move on it and start some serious shopping.
What's shopping without online coupons? Well, I can tell you it can be a bummer. Not being able to take advantage of big discounts can be very disappointing.
Alright, I've somehow got an idea now of what to give J. Next on the list is our little girl. I'm thinking of using Babycenter coupons to avail of some Babycenter deals on high chairs for Erin. Maybe redeeming some Scholastic coupon codes to get great Scholastic deals on books and toys would also be a nice idea. Well, whatever thing I decide later on, I'm sure Erin will just love it.

Theemithi, or the fire-walking ceremony, honours the Goddess Draupadi, who, according to legend, had to prove her innocence by walking barefoot on burning coals. In honour of her memory, modern-day devotees repeat this feat along a four-metre bed of hot coals. The ceremony begins at 1am at the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple (397 Serangoon Rd), as devotees take ritual baths before making a 4km walk to the
Sri Mariamman Temple, where the fire-walking ceremony will start at 3am. Please dress appropriately (no short skirts or sleeveless tops) and remove shoes at the door when entering temples.
The fire-walking demands from the devotee deep devotion, abstinence of worldly pleasures and fasting. No harm comes to the devotee who has devoutly and with piety prepared himself for the ceremony. Women devotees are not allowed to walk across the fiery pit but walk around it.

Our good friend E, who also happens to be one of Erin's godmother at baptism, runs the local Asian grocery store with her husband in Fyshwick. It was originally owned by another Filipino, but was mismanaged and on the brink of bankruptcy so the former owner had no choice but to sell it. Fortunately, E and her husband managed to turn it around and now it is thriving well.
We knew their business was doing good because they were able to buy a brand-new van, which they use in transporting their store's merchandise. I reckon they already got it insured but just in case they haven't yet, I could recommend Cheap Van Insurance to them. I'm sure they can find the perfect policy to fit their needs.

I just checked our vacation ticker and found out that we have just 7 months left before our holiday to the Philippines commences. Wow! The last time I checked it was 9 months still. Has it only been two months? I thought it was more!
I guess I am just too excited about this trip. I reckon J is too. We are so looking forward to that much needed break. Taking care of Erin combined with household chores can be so overwhelming at times. We need to re-energize! Manila here we come! :)

One day, we shall own a house.
That is our goal within the next few years. As I am a full-time mommy with Erin, I cannot join yet the workforce in order for us to be able to get a loan so we can purchase a house of our own. Secured Home Loans is definitely going to be a consideration once we are financially ready to apply for a loan.
With the high prices of houses in the market today, we cannot afford to pay for one in full. Getting a loan is a big help and we can just pay it off in installments that we are more likely to do.

I manage three different sites altogether. And believe me, it's no walk in the park, especially when there are loads of opportunities to grab. You have to be extra creative so you can deliver what is expected in the time allowed. Again, I am not complaining as I am grateful for everything. It's just that I sometimes feel pressured and often end up with nothing. Alright, enough whining. I'm off to work! :P

Not many people know this but I am a self-confessed hopeless romantic by heart. I have always loved getting flowers and love letters ever since I can remember.
If my memory serves me right, I think one of the sweetest thing that J ever did was to read a love poem to me on one of our chats some years ago. It was a poem he had composed several years before we met. He had vowed to only present it to the woman that he was going to marry. I felt so touched and honored by this gesture because it showed just how serious he was about his intentions for me.
Well, I'm glad I took that leap of faith with him. I have had no regrets whatsoever.
