Many Filipinos don't realize it, but Kristine Hermosa, Jericho Rosales, Diether Ocampo, and Angelika de la Cruz are world famous, and I'm not just talking about among our own Filipino people living overseas. Their telenovelas are the most popular, highest rating shows in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, Tanzania, Namibia, and Zamba, where they're all dubbed in the local languages and watched by the local people. Pangako Sa'yo was all the way back in 2000,
but ABS-CBN is exporting it to other countries as The Promise, among other past productions like the one in 2005 with Diether Ocampo and Kristine Hermosa, and they love it. They love Filipino shows, and that should make any Pinoy proud. And I'm so humbled and thankful to our world friends from all those great countries for supporting our country and our products. Besides the presidents and former presidents' wives of course, Kristine Hermosa is probably one of the most recognized Filipina women in the world among non-Filipinos. Here they are being interviewed on Malaysian TV:Posted by CelebritiesCorner on Sunday, January 27th, 2008 @ 8:47 am in Entertainment.
