Navigating the Spectrum and the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health are proud once again to sponsor a day of encouragement, empowerment and education. Parents, therapists, educators, health care professionals, school administrators and anyone who cares about a child on the spectrum are invited to attend this free event. Connect with families affected by ASDs and network with knowledgeable, caring and encouraging professionals. There will also be fun and attractions for children, with special appearances by the Big Apple Circus Clowns.
Visit over 40 scheduled information stations including Applied Behavior Analysis, TEACCH, DIR and Floortime, Relationship Development Intervention, Medical Interventions, Occupational Therapy & Sensory Integration, Speech & Language Pathology, Nutritional & Biomedical Interventions, Auditory Therapies, Vision Therapy, Special Education Law & Advocacy, Assessments & Evaluations, Family Management, Self-Injurious Behavior Management, Family Services, Early Intervention Services, Recreational Programs, Respite Services, Social Skills Programs, Transitional Services, Vocational Training, Residential Options, Complementary & Alternative Treatments, and Many More. Specially scheduled breakout lectures will address issues important to parents of children across all ages and developmental levels.
